“Circle of Friends” Alzheimer’s Caregivers Respite group is truly one of the most rewarding programs you will ever take part in. We sing, dance, play games, create art, and enjoy the company of some wonderful people coping with Alzheimer’s, while providing a much-needed respite for their caregivers.
Your help is needed to provide support with morning welcoming, breakfast set-up, assisting friends with getting their breakfast and/or lunch, and moving to and from activities such as music and art therapy, bingo and dominoes. Relief volunteers are also needed to assist during the lunch hour and clean up. All shifts last 3 to 5 hours. Whether you’re available once a month or every week, participating in this program is both a mitzvah and a joy. If you are interested in volunteering in a warm, loving and fun environment or you have a loved one you would like to enroll in this program please contact Theressa Lyons at (512) 845-5374 or Faith Steinberg at (512) 926-1477.
