Our Congregation offers endless opportunities for young families to get involved.

From services to social events, there is something for everyone.

All events below are designed for families with children age 0-5 and open to the public. Older siblings are always welcome to participate.

Tot Shabbat – most 2nd and 4th Saturdays at 9:30 am, August-May

Rabbi Folberg, Rabbi Rose and Cantorial Soloist Sarah Avner share the leading of our exciting and engaging Tot Shabbat services. This service begins in our Sanctuary and is filled with songs, stories, and sometimes even dancing on the bimah. Following the service, we move to the preschool foyer for a snack, craft projects, and play time with other kids in our preschool living room or on our playground.

Child Development Center Shabbat Program – Fridays at 10:30 am

Every Friday at 10:30 am, Rabbi Folberg, Rabbi Rose or Cantorial Soloist Sarah Avner lead a short Shabbat program consisting of the Shabbat blessings, a story or teaching, and singing. (There are occasional Fridays when this program does not occur due to CDC closings or holidays. Please check the calendar for more details.)

PJ Havdallah Services, select Saturdays, 5:00-6:30 pm

These events are a partnerships between PJ Library & CBI and introduce Havdallah to our smallest worshipers in a fun atmosphere. One of our clergy team will be leading this program. Wear your pajamas and join us in Smith Auditorium for a potluck dinner, story, music, and short activity. We’ll end with a short Havdallah service to say goodbye to Shabbat.

October 7, 2017: Sukkot
Weather permitting, we'll be enjoying the evening together in the sukkah (outside the sanctuary). Please RSVP & sign up to bring a dish. Drinks and dessert will be provided by CBI. In addition to the story and music, materials will be available to make & hang sukkah decorations! This event is open to the community and older siblings are welcome.
