CBI Welcomes All Interfaith Families!

Congregation Beth Israel supports and welcomes all those in interfaith relationships. We estimate that 1/3 to 1/2 of our families consider themselves interfaith. We make no differentiation between children with one or two Jewish parents in our Religious School and work hard to make all children feel welcome.

In the spirit of the Reform movement, we recognize that the non-Jewish partner in an interfaith relationship plays an important role in creating a Jewish home and raising Jewish children. We honor you and welcome you as an important piece of our congregational family.

CBI has rabbis on staff that perform interfaith weddings, each rabbi performing ceremonies according to his or her own requirements. (Please contact each rabbi directly to learn if one of our rabbis can help you on your special day.)
